Styles of music we teach:

Pop, Rock, Country, Jazz, Fingerstyle, Bluegrass, Worship, and more!

Instruments We teach:

Guitar, Bass, Piano, Ukulele, Mandolin, Drums, Voice, and more to come!

Methodology:

We believe that your child should have fun learning music!

However, it is like learning a new language, so it should be challenging. It is our goal to teach music in a way that will challenge our students, but also help them enjoy playing!

We believe that everyone learns to play an instrument for a variety of reasons. Because of this, we treat each student as an individual and do not put them in a one size fits all program. We will utilize different teaching methods for each particular student.

What to expect for your first guitar lesson

Beginner Guitar Students:

Our goal for beginning guitar students is to start making music right away!

The first thing you will learn are the names of your strings, and then you will be on your way to learning your first song!

Music books:

For our beginning students, Hal Leonard Book 1 will be provided and will be utilized in learning the foundations of note reading.

Which guitar should I buy?

For electric guitarist, you will also need a small amp and instrument cable for at home practice.

For beginning students

Students who are interested in acoustic guitar, we really like the Yamaha F335 (though there are other great guitars in the same price range!)

For beginning students - Squier Bullet Stratocaster

For Electric Guitars this is a great starting guitar (again, there are several other makes and models that are great!)

  • Gloss-finished solid basswood body

  • 25.5"-scale maple neck, 21-fret laurel fingerboard

  • 3 Squier Stratocaster single-coil pickups, 5-way switch

  • Vintage-style thru-body-strung hardtail bridge, die-cast tuners

For younger students Junior 3/4 Size guitar

  • The FG Junior is a 3/4 sized guitar modeled after the acclaimed Yamaha FG Series

  • The JR1 has a smaller body and shorter neck, perfect for young players or those with smaller hands

  • Yamaha craftsmanship and a spruce top give this compact guitar an authentic acoustic tone

  • Great for use as a travel guitar when space is limited
